First scouted in his native Taiwan, he was signed after an impressiveperformance in the 2002 World Junior Champiosnhips in which he hit .474 withfour home runs in just 38 at-bats. At first glance, he's unpreposingphysically but that's misleading. He's very muscular and drives the ball wellwith a quick stroke. What's more he has a good eye at the plate so has hitwell wherever he's been.
He batted .305 in his rookie season at Ogden in 2003; then, last year hit .298with six home runs at Columbus before a promotion to Vero Beach where hefollowed with a.307 average before being shut down with a sore arm.

It's in the field where he's most impressive, displaying tremendous agility atshort with excellent coordination and a strong arm. He was voted the bestfielder at his position in the South Atlantic League. He's an above-averagerunner, as well. He may start the season in high A again but could get a shotat AA depending upon how the more experienced players above him are placed.
